Allt under himmelens fäste Swedish traditional This is a "typical Swedish folk song", about unrequited love. There is a third verse that isn't included in my arrangement; you'll find it (and an English translation) on http://www.pcisys.net/~don_erickson/allt.htm The only thing I don't like about this song is how the girl/woman behaves in the second verse: she seems to be a whining, self-pitying ninny who thinks she has no control over her feelings and actions; a person to be pitied, perhaps, but not very likeable. So I made another interpretation, and tried to express this in the arrangement of the second verse. This person is now even less likeable, but not a whiner; she thinks it is self-evident that she always will get anything she wants, including a man's love, and is really ANGRY when she doesn't get her way. (I can almost see her with a smoking gun after she has shot her lover, because he was cheating on her). According to this interpretation of the song, there are some instructions written in Swedish on page 3: Fyrtaktsdelen av vers 2 kan sjungas ganska aggresivt och rått. Tretaktsdelen kan sjungas snyggare men "lidande". -> The 4/4 time signature part of verse 2 can be sung in a rather aggressive and "rough" way; the 3/4 time signature part can be sung more nicely and prettily, but some "suffering" should also be put into it.
